Legal Ethics

I find it concerning that in my lecture on legal ethics one lecturer justified the ethics of certain actions as "it's ok to do x because x is ethical". But this is a hollow statement without explaining that "x is ethical because..." Saying something is ethical because, e.g. "the law says it is," is not a sufficient justification. Perhaps it's all just part of the indoctrination that is university. Gotta love it though J.
